Oil Firms Set To Impose Another Price Adjustment This Week
Several oil firms in the Philippines are set to impose another pump price hike this week, which mark the third straight week of increases.
Over the previous years, the prices of petroleum products play a very important role to the country’s economy. Oil price changes also affects the prices of various services and products.
The impending price increase would contribute to the burden of Filipino people especially to those who were driving vehicles for a living and to private drivers driving to reach their point of destination.
Various gasoline stations in the country announced an impending increase on prices of petroleum products. It would be the third week of consecutive increase on prices of gasoline, diesel and kerosene.
Pilipinas Shell Petroleum Corp would impose an addition P0.40 per liter of gasoline, P0.35 per liter of diesel and P0.15 per liter of kerosene. Petro Gazz would also implement similar changes except for kerosene, which they do not have.
Cleanfuel would implement an addition P0.30 per liter of gasoline and diesel. The oil companies would impose the changes at 6:00 am except for Cleanfuel, which will set the price changes at 4:01 pm.
The Department of Energy (DOE) also released the latest data available showing the year-to-date adjustments. The data shows a total net increase of P13.35 per liter for gasoline, P10.90 per liter for diesel, and P8.70 per liter for kerosene as of September 7, 2021.
