Pastor Reported By Own Daughter Over Repeated Harassment Resulted to His Arrest

The Philippine National Police (PNP) has arrested a pastor after being reported by his own daughter over repeated harassment.

The PNP conducted an operation against a religious leader who allegedly harassed his own daughter on multiple occasions. A pastor in Batangas is accused of repeatedly abusing his own daughter over the course of five years.

According to a report, after receiving the victim’s complaint, police in Tuy, Batangas proceeded quickly to arrest the 47-year-old perpetrator. According to the police complaint, a relative discovered what the father was doing to his daughter after noticing the victim’s strange conduct on a regular basis.

The victim appears to be staring into space, according to the family. The youngster revealed that her father had physically abused her and that he apologized but would continue to do so.

“Nagso-sorry daw po sa kaniya tapos hindi na lang daw niya uulitin. Sabi ko sa bata, ‘Pero inuulit-ulit niya?,” relative revealed

The man is a leader of a religious group or a priest, according to the chief of police in Tuy, Batangas. Witnesses claim that the girl is trapped in her room.

“Nagseselos po yung tatay niya kapag lumalabas [siya]tinatanong daw po agad kung mayroon daw pong boyfriend,” relative added.

The suspect has not denied the allegations, which date back five years. He claims he harassed her because he misses his wife, who lives far away. The suspect expressed regret to his daughter for his indecent behavior.

“Siguro po dahil ang asawa ko po ay malayo. Anak patawarin mo ang Papa. Patawarin mo ako. (inaudible) Naabot tayo sa ganung bagay,” the suspect said in an interview.

Col. Glicerio Cansilao, Director of the Batangas Provincial Police Office, said the girl may need counseling. The culprit has already been apprehended by the police, and a criminal complaint will be filed as a result. Cansilao urged residents to contact the police if they detect a similar situation in their neighborhoods.
