Here’s what Cherry Pie Picache said to the younger generation of artists
Seasoned actress Cherry Pie Picache shared her advice to young stars now in the Philippine entertainment industry.
Cherry Pie has come a long way since she started her career in showbiz. Now, she is considered one of the well-respected actresses who did remarkable roles on TV and in movies.
Based on the article in PUSH, Cherry Pie was asked to give her advice to the younger generation of artists and she pointed out the values that they could learn from those who came into the industry ahead of them.
“Sa mga bata ngayon, katulad din nung nag-uumpisa ako, ang dami kong natutunan din sa mga tinitingala ko at nirerespeto at iniidolo kong mga actors before and poeple in the industry,” she said.
The seasoned actress also said that the younger ones should not get offended and take the things being told to them positively. She also stressed the value of giving importance to the craft. She added that respect, hard work, and discipline should be learned. Fortunately, she has seen these traits from her younger co-stars in past and present projects.
Cherry Pie Picache also highlighted grasping every opportunity. “And if there’s one thing that I will advise them, please don’t take it for granted because now you’re really blessed,” she said.
The seasoned actress explained that not every opportunity is easy to have, especially during their time, they had to work hard in order to take a part in a certain project. She added that now, it is much easier for artists to have movie or TV stints. “Now it’s there so don’t take it for granted, work hard for it and earn your spot,” she said.
Meanwhile, Cherry Pie is thankful to have the chance to continue acting. She is now part of the new Kapamilya series Marry Me, Marry You featuring the tandem of Paulo Avelino and Janine Gutierrez.
