8 Men Arrested After Caught Having Drinking Party Amid the MECQ Rules in Cavite

Police authorities arrested eight (8) men allegedly having a drinking party on the road despite the strict quarantine rules due to MECQ in Cavite.

A group of eight men seems to ignore the strict quarantine rules implemented under modified enhanced community quarantine (MECQ) after they organized a drinking party on the road of General Trias, Cavite. Based on the report, these men were having at 2 a.m. which is already past the curfew hours.

In the report of P/Cpl. Jhoncel Dayumat of Gen. Trias City Police Station, Pasong Camachile COMPAC received a call from a concerned citizen who could not sleep due to the noise of men at the Marycris Complex, Pasong Camachille 2 of the said city. As a result, the policemen went to the placed to verify the report.

When police responded, the men were caught crowding while having fun and drinking despite the curfew in place in the area, based on the report. Cavite province is under MECQ, which prohibits mass gatherings, liquor ban, and curfew hours.

The arrested men, Kenneth Bryan Tarong; Marco Quiñanola; Jose Louie Balbuena; Narciso Reyes0; Christian Jayson Hernandez; John Michael Siron; Christian Edgar; Emia; and Jonard Jhay Marquez; who are all of legal age and residents of Brgy. Pasong Camachile 2, Gen. Trias City, faces charges of violating curfew, mass gathering, drinking liquor in public places, and alarm and scandal.
