MAINE MENDOZA – Phenomenal star Maine Mendoza reveals how she spends her money and what she does so she can do both saving and shopping.
When it comes to preparing for the future and for the rainy days ahead, what’s essential to do with your money is to save it up and put in an investment where it can grow. And this is exactly what Maine Mendoza has been doing since she started working in the show business industry.
The Dusmash queen actually has her own money manager and financial advisor, her mother Mary Ann. She’s the one who mainly manages her money coming from her savings, investments, and earnings. Her mother is also a mediator whenever she sees that she’s starting to spend on something too much.
Her money is divided. There’s an amount allotted for her savings, for her investments, and for her personal whims – and a big portion automatically goes to her savings and investments. What she would accordingly just spend is the allotted amount for her shopping.
Maine added that her mother is not stopping her to spend but would get in the way to remind her to be wise when it comes to spending. She said, “I spend within my means. Alam ko kung kelan ako mage-e-spend and I know when I shouldn’t. And hindi ko lang talaga nile-let go is yung siyempre pag tini-treat ko yung sarili ko for working hard kasi deserve naman nating lahat yun, di ba?”
She stressed, particularly to young people, to known when to spend and when not to spend. She told them to assess if what they are going to buy will be worth it or not. Meanwhile, from her own experience, her greatest “budol” find online are Oculus gaming consoles. She bought three for herself, for her boyfriend, and for a friend who will be coming over to their house as a report by PEP. Currently, the console costs Php 21,880.00 online.
