Here’s what the mother of Maine Mendoza said about the recent issue
Mrs. Mary Ann Mendoza, the mother of Maine Mendoza, has this reaction to the alleged controversial video of the Phenomenal Star.
Maine has become one of the victims of maliciously edited videos circulating online. In a previous article, the Eat Bulaga host expressed shock and disbelief that the woman in the video really looked like her.
However, she stressed that it was not her. Her manager Rams David also slammed the manipulated video and expressed that they will resort to legal actions against this.
“We intend to hold those individuals criminally and civilly liable for the damage caused to Ms. Mendoza,” the talent manager said. Several fans of the actress-host also lambasted the said video and showed support for her.
Based on the article from PEP, Mrs. Mendoza. along with the lawyer of Maine Mendoza, went to the National Bureau of Investigation-Cyber Crime Division (NBI-CCD) on Monday, December 28, to formally ask the agency to investigate the viral video.
They are asking the help of the authorities to punish whoever did this against the Phenomenal Star. In an interview, the mother of Maine went emotional when asked about this. She said that as a mother, she also feels the pain that her family members are feeling.
“Hindi siya makatarungan. Lumagay man kayo sa ‘min bilang magulang, siguro mararamdaman niyo rin yung sakit, yung nararamdaman naming mga pamilya niya,” Mrs. Mendoza said.
NBI Cyber-Crime Investigator Victor Lorenzo said that they will thoroughly conduct an investigation regarding this issue involving the name and identity of Maine Mendoza.
