Woman Trying to Smuggle Drugs for Inmate Boyfriend by Hiding it in Rice Arrested
Jail police arrested a woman after she attempted to smuggle illegal drugs for her inmate boyfriend by hiding them inside a pack of rice.
According to the allegation, a woman who was passionately in love with her imprisoned boyfriend was arrested while attempting to bring illegal substances into the institution. Erica Rivera y Borjal, 40, single and unemployed, of 49 Zapote Street Bagong Barrio Caloocan City, was identified as the lady suspect.

According to the newspaper, Erica will be charged with breaking the Comprehensive Dangerous Substances Act of 2002 after attempting to send illegal drugs known as “shabu” to his imprisoned partner by mixing them with packaged rice. Bagong Barrio Police Substation 5, Brgy 146, Caloocan City, was the scene of the event.
Rivera’s food for her incarcerated boyfriend is being inspected by police, who are taking a curious interest in the boxed rice. The sachet of shabu was frightened when it was opened by the suspect.
She was arrested right away by the cops. The suspect was found with a sachet containing 0.9 grams of shabu worth P6,120, a blue environmental bag, and a plastic bag containing rice.
Meanwhile, a guy who was only visiting an inmate was nabbed by jail officials in Dumaguete City Police Station in Negros Oriental after he was caught attempting to smuggle illegal substances by putting them inside peanut butter. The suspect had a plastic bottle of peanut butter and a loaf of bread on hand when he visited the jail.
When the duty jail guard was inspected, however, he suspected such peanut butter. After a thorough examination by the penitentiary officers, the illegal items were discovered wrapped in masking tape within peanut butter.
