Here’s what Heart Evangelista and Chiz Escudero said regarding their finances
Kapuso Queen of Creative Collaborations Heart Evangelista and her husband Sorsogon Governor Chiz Escudero shared their “banggaan” when it comes to shopping.
It is known to many showbiz fans that Heart is one of the fashion icons in the Philippines. For several instances, she has proven that she is one of the real “crazy rich Asians”. However, in a previous article, the actress said that she is not crazy rich, it just so happened that she has been working hard.
In a recent interview by Karen Davila, based on the article in Bandera, Chiz Escudero mentioned that upon the start of his relationship with Heart Evangelista, one of his struggles was about how the actress would spend her own money.
“For her to learn discipline and maturity with respect to the money she earns and spends,” the politician said. Heart said that she understands this sentiment of her husband now with clarification that she is not spending the money of her husband for shopping.
However, the actress admitted that she and Chiz are very opposite when it comes to this aspect to the point that he got “pikon”. “Napipikon siya sa akin like he’d say, ‘Ilang bibig na ang napakain mo diyan?’ Gaganunin niya ako. Sapatos lang ‘yun. So, siyempre, I’d hide everything, right?” sey ni Heart na sinagot naman ni Chiz ng, “And then she complains afterwards.” Heart Evangelista said.
She added that in this aspect, they are very much different from each other. Heart shared that her parents also love shopping and that they would reward her with something if she did something good. With this, the actress said that this has become her love language which is not a customary thing for Chiz Escudero.
Heart also revealed that her husband is not fond of receiving luxurious gifts and this would hurt her feelings sometimes. The actress would sometimes give expensive gifts to Chiz but the latter could not appreciate it the way she wanted him to be.
“Even for me, I like to gift him with stuff. Pero siya, I don’t get the reaction I want. It pisses me off. Naiinis ako. Ba’t ganu’n? Hindi ba siya nagki-care or something? It’s really in the beginning. Du’n kami nagbabanggaan,” Heart Evangelista said.
