Rude Cop in Pasay City Sacked for Apprehending Motorists with Violations

Pasay city Chief of police sacked his rude cop after he was caught on camera apprehending motorists without alleged violations.

After numerous motorists filed complaints against him, a police officer in Pasay City was sacked. This happened after a cop, named Police Lieutenant Ashley Magboo, apprehended them and issued them a violation ticket despite the fact that no violation had been committed.

According to reports, the Pasay Police Chief discharged Police Lieutenant Magboo, the chief of the Villamor Police Substation, when motorists claimed that Magboo was disrespectful and arrested them without committing any violations. Magboo was detained for not using the motorbike lane, according to one of the motorists.

The driver claimed that they couldn’t switch to the motorcycle lane since Magboo had already flagged them down, despite the fact that they were still a long way away. When the cops pointed them out at the checkpoint, they were only a short distance away.

“Dapat daw po kasi nasa motorcycle lane daw po kami, eh kaya lang paano kami mapunta sa motorcycle lane eh malayo pa lang kami kinakawayan na kami noong pulis na tinuturo doon sa checkpoint,” said motorist.

The event is being investigated by Philippine National Police Chief General Guillermo Eleazar. Aside from the registered motorists, other residents also expressed dissatisfaction with the police.

While the investigation into the case against him proceeds, Magboo was first transferred to the admin division. Eleazar recently ordered a probe into alleged extortion activities and police misbehavior at a roadblock on Andrews Avenue in Pasay.
