The local residents of Lapu-Lapu city poured appreciation to a Lebanese restaurant owner for offering free shawarma to those who can’t afford it.

People who don’t have enough money to buy Rabih’s shawarma would be allowed to enter his store, according to Rabih. He modestly stated that he does not have any money to contribute but does have enough food to feed hungry people.

“If any people don’t have money, come inside I will give it for free. I don’t have money to give people but I have food,” Rabih said.

Rabih has been living in the Philippines for over two years. Rabih has established the Papa Rony Shawarma Store and has become his source of living.

He was penniless and couldn’t afford great meals before founding Papa Rony Shawarma Store. He had to sell his bike to make enough money to put it into his shawarma shop.

Rabih claimed that when he originally launched his modest store, he only made P500 to P700. Despite this, he persisted, and his shawarma gradually piqued the interest of more residents of Lapu-Lapu City.

“I love the Philippines, I love the people here. They are very good and all the people love me also,” Rabih said.
