3 Plant Thieves Caught on Camera Stealing P10k worth of Plants in Bulacan
The local authorities of Guiguinto, Bulacan are now on the hunt against three (3) plant thieves who were caught on camera stealing P10k of plants.
According to the report, plant thieves stole P10,000 worth of plants, including huge Melaloni, Wave Of Love, and Sensation. The suspects seemed to be garbage collectors when they entered the vacant property that had been turned into a plant showroom, according to surveillance footage.

They later brought out sacks and placed the removed plants in containers. The owner, a landscaping and garden contractor named Estelito Dela Cruz, was furious with what had happened to his prized plants.
“Ang tagal mong pinalalaki, ang tagal mong pinaghirapan, tapos gaganu’nin lang, nanakawin lang ng gano’n. Mabigat talaga sa aking loob,” Dela Cruz said.
According to Dela Cruz, the thieves are used to plant specifications, as they only take the most valuable plants and overlook the less valuable ones, and they allegedly target the most valuable plants on a regular basis.
“Professional silang tumingin ng halaman, kasi nga nakuha ‘yung mamahalin. Hindi nila ginagalaw ‘yung mumurahin lang, hindi nila kinukuha ‘yon. Alam nila kung ano ‘yung mamahaling halaman,” said Dela Cruz.
The robbery broke out in their area when their location became the garden capital of Bulacan and international plantitos and plantitas, according to village commander Manny Joson of Sta. Cruz, Guiguinto Bulacan. On the other side, the barangay and the police vowed to increase their vigilance against criminals.
