Story Behind Paulo Avelino Zoom Call W/ Fans
PAULO AVELINO – Here’s the story behind Paulo Avelino’s Zoom “e-numan” or virtual drinking session with fans last week.
Michael Paulo Lingbanan Avelino or better known as Paulo Avelino is one of the most handsome actors in the Philippines. He’s only a teenager when he entered the show business.
He had a relationship with Kapuso actress LJ Reyes. They have a son named Ethan Akio “Aki” Reyes and he just turned 11 years old.

During 46th Metro Manila Film Festival‘s Gabi ng Parangal, Paulo Avelino dedicated his Best Actor plum to his son. He said, “Lumaban lang tayo. Sigurado akong darating ang panahon sa hindi malayong kinabukasan na giginhawa ulit ang mga pamumuhay natin. This is for you Aki!”
Last week, the 33-year-old actor surprised his fans with a Zoom “e-numan” or virtual drinking session. He organized it via the microblogging platform Twitter.

Paulo Avelino’s Zoom call reached its limit of 100 attendees. Netizens who were able to get in were generous enough to upload snaps on social media.
Photos and clips that went viral online showed a candid Paulo mingling with fans, drinking Redhorse, and blowing virtual kisses.

In an interview with G3 San Diego on Monday, Paulo Avelino revealed the reason why he decided to organize that Zoom call. Like most, the Kapamilya actor acknowledges that being isolated at home during the COVID-19 lockdown was taking a toll on his mental health.
“Minsan kailangan talaga ng social interaction kasi nakakabaliw lang talaga…”
“I like drinking in quiet places. I like drinking with people I know. Pero masaya siya. In all fairness tame naman ‘yung mga tao tapos nagre-raise sila ng hand sa Zoom. Ang galing galing. Dapat noong una makikinig lang ako e, pero ang gulo kasi masyado kasi walang nag-cu-curate,” he added.

Paulo Avelino also shared why he frequently engages in playful banter with his followers. He said, “It’s not really a persona. It’s everyday life. I think kaya maraming replies or retweets it’s because people can relate to it. Kumbaga, hindi lang ako ‘yung nag-iisang ganun. Marami tayo.”
“If you try to look at the kids now, they talk like that. They’re straightforward. It’s not really about speaking their language, it’s like adding your humor to their language,” added.
