This is what Angel Locsin expressed when asked if she’s now ready to become a stepmother.
ANGEL LOCSIN – Kapamilya actress Angel Locsin breaks silence about the 14-year-old son of her husband Neil Arce and the stepmom role.
The day that Hidilyn Diaz won the gold medal in the Olympics is also the same time that couple Angel Locsin and Neil Arce tied the knot in a simple civil wedding. They shocked not just their fans but also their family as well over their decision to get married. They wanted everything to be simple, so they got what they want. They described their wedding as “simple pero rock”.
It was held in Taguig officiated by Mayor Lino Cayetano. They got Dimples Romana, Locsin’s father and Arce’s mother, and his son as their witnesses. It was followed by a backyard reception and they are planning to hold a bigger celebration soon where they can gather all of their friends to celebrate with them.
In a previous article, Neil was advised by his mother to only do one thing to keep their marriage happy and that is to keep his wife happy all the time. Angel’s father also wishes them happiness in their marriage and asked them to give him a grandchild already. To recall, their wedding plans were all postponed because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
And now that they are married, Angel opened up to a topic about her husband’s son who is now 14 years old. In the latest Spotify podcast of ABS-CBN News anchor Karen Davila, she was asked if she is now ready to take the stepmother role for his son. She honestly shared that she doesn’t know yet what his son should call her now that they are married. However, it is heartwarming for her because Arce’s son considers her as his aunt.
She added that whatever his son wanted to call would be fine to her. She said, “Hindi ko naman sinisingit ‘yung sarili ko sa picture. I am happy na tawagin akong Tita Angel. Wala akong problema doon. Kung tawagin niya ako ng kahit ano, walang problema sa akin.”
The actress added that his son’s mother is also focused and hands-on with the child. She described his mother as someone who is “mabait”, “kalog”, and gives priority to her son.
