Here’s what Marlo Mortel said about Janella Salvador
Actor-singer Marlo Mortel mentioned his former love team partner actress-singer Janella Salvador during a recent press conference for his new single.
Marlo and Janella’s love team was featured in the hit defunct Kapamilya series Be Careful With My Heart that also featured the popular tandem of Jodi Sta. Maria and Richard Yap.
However, ABS-CBN decided to break the love team partnership of Marlo and Janella and the latter was paired with his ex-boyfriend Elmo Magalona. Based on the article in The Philippines Star, during the recent virtual press conference for the song Bituin, the new single of Marlo Mortel under Polyeast Records, his new record label since early this year, the actor-singer was asked about Janella Salvador.
He said that he and Janella have remained good friends until now but he said that it was unfortunate that he is not one of the “ninongs” of her son Jude with partner Markus Paterson.
“I can say na ‘yung friendship namin ay the same. Hindi man kami nag-uusap o nagkikita madalas but when see each other… True friends naman no matter what, you’re going to be still friends,” he said.
Meanwhile, Marlo Mortel said that he is now more focused on his singing career. These past few years, he has been doing more acting and hosting projects. “What I can promise is I am going to keep on making music and write and produce songs,” he said.
During the same press conference, the singer-actor was also asked about speculations that he will transfer to GMA-7 after his guest appearance on Kapuso show Mars Pa More. He said that it was just a guesting and that there is nothing concrete yet on matters about his career.
