Is Marlo Mortel no longer under Star Magic?
Actor-singer Marlo Mortel has a guest appearance on GMA’s Mars Pa More and he was asked if he will be transferring to the Kapuso network.
Marlo rose to fame when he was included in the cast members of the hit family series Be Careful With My Heart in 2012. He was paired with singer-actress Janella Salvador. However, in 2015, ABS-CBN decided to break their love team and Marlo focused on hosting and his music career. He also launched an album under Star Music.
Based on the article in PEP, in 2010, Marlo Mortel had his first TV appearance on GMA through German Moreno’s Walang Tulugan with the Master Showman. He also appeared on the Kapuso youth-oriented series Tween Hearts. Just recently, the official Facebook Page of Marlo’s jewelry business called Ornstal posted his photo with Mars Pa More hosts Camille Prats and Iya Villania.
In a press conference, the actor-singer was asked if his appearance on GMA’s show means that he will be a Kapuso soon. “Iyong guesting na iyon, it was just a guesting really—also, of course, to promote the song,” Marlo said.
On the other hand, he is still not sure what will happen in the future when it comes to his career. He just said that something is happening but there is no finality yet and he will surely give an update about this.
He also had a general statement when he was asked about this. Marlo said that it is in all aspects. “Better. For improvement,” he said. Then, he was asked if he is still under the management of Star Magic. The answer of Marlo Mortel to this was, “Ayan, I can’t really tell pa.”
Meanwhile, Marlo released his new single Bituin under his new record label Polyeast Records. The first single that he released was titled Mahina.
