Critics of Hipon Girl said she’s “feeling sikat” which is why she’s now struggling.
HIPON GIRL – Herlene Budol, also known as Hipon Girl, is back to zero in life and her critics said that it’s her fault why she’s now struggling again.
In a previous article, Herlene Budol in real life or Hipon Girl on television admitted that from being on top, she’s now back to the bottom again after losing her source of income. She is Willie Revillame’s co-host in Wowowin but loses the job opportunity because of the pandemic. She was already in a better state while working in the game show but the pandemic happened and unexpectedly, she lost everything in a snap.
She was glad that she was able to save up while she’s still working but her savings were all used up now. She used the money to survive amid the country’s health situation and to help her other families. Talking to Toni Gonzaga in Toni Talk, she revealed that her life is back to zero again.
“Back to zero kami. Walang wala na talaga, kahit hanggang ngayon, wala na talaga akong pinagkukunan ng pera. Kasi sa akin nga umaasa buong pamilya ko, dati pagkain lang, pero ngayon pati kuryente sa ‘kin,” she said. Appearing in Toni’s Youtube show, the female host decided to give the proceeds of that particular video to Hipon to help her in her situation.
In the same interview, she also admitted that she really got confident while she was still a host considering that her brand of comedy is loved and she’s been working for two years already. But because of the pandemic, she lost it and she’s not the only one. She was called “feeling sikat” at “kala mo kung sino sikat na.”
She was also criticized because her two business ventures were unsuccessful. Hitting back to all the bashers, she said through Instagram:
