Ice Delivery Man Expresses Frustration After Termites Consumes His Savings

LOST SAVINGS – An ice delivery man has expressed his disappointment after termites allegedly consumed his hard-earned cash.

The Facebook page “Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho” has shared the photos of an ice delivery man who expressed his frustration after termites consumed his hard-earned savings. The post garnered various reactions online.

The elderly man identified as Lolo Adonis is delivering ice and saved money from his job. He is aiming to use his savings for emergency purposes in the future. His savings has reached P50, 000, which is quite big.

Adonis is wrapping his savings with a plastic bag on his cabinet because he had no other option. After a while, he decided to clean his cabinet and found his clothes damaged by termites and removed them from the cabinet.

Unfortunately, the old man found his savings worth P50, 000 consumed by termites. He already visited banks thrice to replace the damaged money but his request got rejected repeatedly. He even lose hope to replace his money.

“Sa kinikita ko sa ice delivery, nagtatabi ako paunti-unti.

Pang-emergency ba.

Binabalot ko sa plastic tapos nilalagay ko sa cabinet. Wala naman kasi akong ibang mapaglalagyan.

Nito lang, naglinis ako ng cabinet, may mga nakita akong anay. Kaya binaba ko lahat ng damit ko.

Doon ko na kita na pati ‘yung ipon ko, puro inanay na rin!

Almost P50,000 ‘yun!

Tatlong beses akong nagbalik-balik sa bangko, para mapalitan pero wala pa rin.

Naisip ko, ‘Wala na ‘to. Hindi na maibabalik sa akin ‘tong perang buo.’

Nanghihinayang po ako. Kasi siyempre pinagpawisan ko po ‘yun eh.”
