Comedian-actor Michael V has these pieces of advice for his daughter showbiz newbie Brianna Bunagan who is now part of GMA’s All-Out Sundays.
It is quite normal for kids to follow in the footstep of their parents in the entertainment industry. However, there is a certain pressure that the younger generation has to face.
Brianna admitted that she also feels this way as she had to be out of her father’s shadow, based on the article in Inquirer Entertainment.
“Making a name for myself is going to be a big challenge, because I have to get out of the ‘anak lang ni Michael V.’ label. Of course, I’m always going to be proud of who I am and being his daughter. I don’t mind being known as that. But I would like to be known for my work, too,” the showbiz newbie said.
She also shared the pieces of advice that Michael V gave her when it comes to the show business. Brianna said that her father reminded her to “enjoy the process” and “be open-minded”.
The daughter of the prominent comedian also said that she should be prepared for criticism. Bitoy added that burnout is possible to happen in a creative field and that things will not always be glamorous. “And as clichéd as it sounds, it’s important to stay humble and stay true to myself,” Brianna Bunagan added.
Meanwhile, the daughter of Michael V also shared that she wants to venture into acting and music in the future. She would be more than willing to do a soap opera, a drama, or a rom-com project someday.
