Management of Dolomite Beach in Manila Bay Requires Tourists to Wear Face Shields During Soft Opening

The tourists are required to wear face shields and obey the health protocols on the soft opening of dolomite beach in Manila Bay.

The management of dolomite beach in Manila Bay required the visitors to wear face shields and observe the quarantine protocols. The beach launched their surprised soft opening on Sunday (July 18, 2021).

Initially, a few number of guests are visiting the beach but the number of visitors gradually increases. However, the beach are still limiting the number of visitors and the soft-opening would be only available until Tuesday (July 20, 2021).

Dolomite Beach

The visitors were just given five minutes to walk around white sand beach to prevent the venue from overcrowding. Most guests were just taking selfies and pictures with their limited time in the beach.

Last year, the dolomite project becomes one of the most controversial topics online after the government reportedly allocated millions of pesos for the program amid the coronavirus pandemic.

The dolomite rock has been crushed and used as artificial white sand to cover Manila Bay. It has been a part of the P389 million beach nourishment project of DENR.
