Dani Barretto admitted that she used to be affected by these negative comments
Social media personality Dani Barretto has this reaction before to the comments comparing her to her siblings.
Dani comes from two popular showbiz clans. Being the daughter of Marjorie Barretto and Kier Legaspi, she is also attached to the entertainment industry although she is not actually into acting.
Based on the article in PEP, Dani shared in a recent vlog of celebrity doctor Vicki Belo that she would always encounter comments comparing how she looks to how her siblings look, especially with the aid of social media.
“And then people would always say, ‘Bakit ganun, yung mga kapatid mo ang ganda, ikaw hindi.’ Or like, ‘Barretto ka ba talaga? Parang hindi ka mukhang Barretto,’” Dani Barretto shared.
These rampant comments against her made her having second thoughts regarding her physical appearance. “Parang bigla akong napaisip, ‘Bakit ang dami?’ So ibig sabihin ang daming nakaka-notice nito. That’s when I started to get bothered na about it,” the social media personality admitted.
This came to the point that she was hesitant to post her photos on social media. Dani became conscious as she used to not wearing makeup while doing her vlogs. Then, she became aware of choosing her angle in front of the camera.
“I had to figure out my angle because it’s just hard na parang, na parang, you feel beautiful today ‘tapos ‘pag nag-post ka ng picture, everybody will tell you otherwise. So, masa-shutdown ka na.” Dani Barretto said.
However, she said that her siblings do not make her feel that there should be a comparison. She feels being respected and that there was no issue between them when it comes to how they look.
