Thief Arrested After Posting Stolen Motorcycle For Sale on Social Media
Authorities arrested a thief after a man reported him when he was caught posting his stolen motorcycle for sale on social media.
A man’s illegal livelihood as a motorcycle thief and seller in San Jose del Monte City, Bulacan, has come to an end. This comes after the owner of the stolen motorcycle revealed his identity in a Facebook post.
Marvin Cerdea, 30, of San Jose del Monte City’s Barangay Gaya-Gaya, was identified as the suspect. According to the report, the thief who was apprehended is now in custody and facing charges.
Cerdea stole a Yamaha Mio Aerox belonging to Mario Detelera, 38, of Barangay Tungkong Mangga in the aforementioned city, according to the police report. Detelera apparently only took money from an ATM in the area and did not take his motorcycle key with him.
The cunning burglar then took advantage of the situation and swept the motorcycle. Detelera and several pals noticed his motorcycle on Facebook on Monday, and it was purportedly for sale.
As a result, the victim arrived at the location and discovered the suspect still riding the stolen motorcycle. Detelera’s crew allegedly pursued the suspect and, after discovering his residence, requested police assistance until the guy was apprehended.
When the cops arrived at the suspect’s house, they discovered a number of motorcycles that were missing their paperwork. The victim received his motorcycle back. The guy is reportedly said to have acknowledged to stealing and selling a motorcycle.
