Is it true that ABS-CBN can’t afford the talent fee of Lovi Poe?
Actress-singer Lovi Poe is rumored to have this amount as a talent fee paid by GMA-7 and it was said that ABS-CBN could not afford this.
Rumors surfaced that Lovi will transfer to the Kapamilya network. However, recent rumors, as the actress-singer is still being silent about this as of now, stated that she is choosing to remain a Kapuso.
An article by Abante entertainment columnist France Simeon stated that one rumored reason for Lovi Poe’s decision to stay in GMA was the talent fee. Reportedly, The Other Wife actress received P160 million talent fee for her 3-year contract with the Kapuso network.
Simeon also mentioned in the article that former Kapamilya actor Jason Abalos received the talent fee from GMA when he signed a contract amounting to what he got from the time he started in ABS-CBN until he switched network.
With this, the conclusion arises that the Kapuso network is giving higher talent fees than its rival network. The columnist also said that there were rumors before that Lovi wanted to transfer to the Kapamilya network before when it has a franchise and the latter also wanted that to happen.
However, Simeon pointed out that the update that reached them stated that the actress-singer already decided to remain a Kapuso. “But since, we heard, Lovi has decided to stay a Kapuso star, malamang alamang, higit pa sa P160 million plus ang bagong kontratang pipirrmahan niya!” the entertainment columnist said.
Meanwhile, in a previous article, Lovi mentioned that she is open to working with Star Cinema, the film production company of ABS-CBN.
