What happened to the sitcom that Willie Revillame offered to John Lloyd Cruz?
Wowowin host Willie Revillame confirmed that he backed out of the sitcom project with A-list actor John Lloyd Cruz but he has this clarification.
When the TV comeback of Lloydie was announced, fans of the latter got so excited, especially when Willie said that his WBR Productions will do a sitcom featuring the A-list actor and Kapuso actress Andrea Torres.
However, just recently, rumors surfaced that Kuya Wil backed out of the said project and that his production company will no longer finance the said show but instead the GMA Network. Rumors also surfaced that allegedly Willie Revillame was disappointed by something that John Lloyd Cruz did during the Shopee event after-party.
A recent article from Pang-Masa stated that the Wowowin host confirmed his exit from the said project. Reportedly, the reason for this was that Kuya Wil is too busy to produce a show now.
It was said that his focus are intended to so many things right now such as his charitable endeavors amid the pandemic as he is reaching out to more people in far places. Aside from this, he is also building his hotels in Mindoro and Tagaytay.
On the other hand, Willie Revillame clarified that there is no “hidwaan” between him and John Lloyd Cruz. Apparently, the veteran host contradicted the rumors that circulated against the A-list actor.
Kuya Wil also said that he will continue to support the showbiz career of John Lloyd in whatever way he can possibly do.
