Laoag City Police Caught Allegedly Planting Evidence During Buy-Bust Ops
Video footage caught police planting drugs as evidence during the buy-bust operation against alleged suspect in Dingras, Laoag City.
The video shows the alleged placement of evidence on the subject of the police buy bust operation in Dingras town’s Barangay Root. Elpidio “Jeff” delos Reyes, a farmer and resident of the stated barrio, was the target of the operation.
Delos Reyes, on the other hand, insisted on sitting on the side of the road, and while driving home, a car stopped, inquired about his identity, and he was arrested by the police. This contradicts the police’s claim that Delos Reyes allegedly resisted arrest.

Based on the report, it turns out that Delos Reyes allegedly sold a .38 cal revolver to the cops for P3,000 . When the individual was apprehended, police stated he flung four sachets of suspected shabu.
According to the Delos Reyes family, he has not engaged in unlawful activity since surrendering to authorities in 2016. They claimed that a man was allegedly stabbed in Delos Reyes’ shorts, which was visible in the footage.
Aside from that, the family questioned the police’s claim that Delos Reyes sold the gun because his shorts were garterized and he didn’t have any other possessions on him. Meanwhile, the suspect is deemed a high-value individual, according to Police Captain Joseph Calderon, chief of police of the PNP-Dingras.
He went on to say that because conducting a drug buy bust operation on him was tough, they instead conducted a gun buy bust because, based on their confirmation, he was still selling guns. The PNP is prepared to react to the Delos Reyes family’s allegations.
