The administration of Richard Gomez in Ormoc City has these efforts amid the pandemic
Ormoc City Mayor Richard Gomez has spoken about the strict implementation of health protocols in his jurisdiction amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
Richard is one of the mayors in the Philippines who has received praises due to his and his administration’s efforts in order to protect his constituents against the fatal effects of the virus.
Based on the article in Bandera, Richard is being lauded for maintaining Ormoc City as a COVID-free area until now. “We try to keep the infection low by telling the people to wear mask and face shield always. We have policemen who patrol 24 hours to remind everyone to wear their masks and face shields,” he explained.
On the other hand, he said that he knows that not everybody is pleased by the efforts that he is doing for the city. He stressed that there are really those who see things the other way around.
“Even if we know what we did is right, some people will still have things to say otherwise. We don’t mind them but we just continue with the work that has to be done,” Richard Gomez added.
Meanwhile, despite being busy with his work as a mayor, the actor-politician is looking forward to doing showbiz projects again. The last movie that he did was with Megastar Sharon Cuneta and this was filmed in Ormoc.
Richard said that if there is a movie offer and that it will be shot in Ormoc again, he is willing to accept this offer as acting has always been his passion.
