What has made the secret wedding of Barangay Ginebra star Scottie Thompson trending and sensationalized is because he did marry Pau Fajardo, his known long-term girlfriend and the one he proposed to six months ago. He married Jinky Serrano, a famous Tiktoker and a flight stewardess, apparently two months after their split.
Dignified with class and grace, Fajardo expressed in a statement that the term “heartbroken” over what happened to them is an understatement. She already believed that she would be marrying the guy she’s been with for a long time but it didn’t go outright. The official statement she posted is aimed to put an end to rumors surrounding this very personal matter.
“I am deeply hurt. I ended a long-term relationship with the man I was ready to spend the rest of my life with. To say it has been heartbreaking is an understatement,” she wrote.
And just recently, with their marriage still lingering as a controversy online, someone on Facebook posted a photo with the newlyweds along with an intriguing caption. Someone named Jessica Jane Sanchez on Facebook expressed that he was there since the couple’s day one and added that people must just respect them and their decision.
The post’s caption added, “At sa kumakalat na june 4 ang naging kasal nila malaking mali po yun galingan niyo sa research para naman tama …”
Meanwhile, Scottie is an alumnus of the University of Perpetual Help. He was the MVP of the 2014 NCAA Season 90 men’s basketball tournament and PBA Finals MVP during the 2018 Commissioner’s Cup. Under his belt are five championships and he’s an endorser of multiple brands.
Scottie and Pau both came from Perpetual and they have been together for eight long years. He proposed to her on New Year’s Day 2021. He took all the blame as to why their relationship has ended and admitted that it was all his fault.
