McDonald’s PH Successfully Sells 3.5 Million Pieces of Chicken Nuggets During BTS Meal Launching
McDonald’s Philippines was able to sold nearly 3.5 million pieces of chicken nuggets during the launch of the in-demand BTS Meal.
On Wednesday (June 23, 2021), McDonald’s Philippines managing director Margot Torres announced that the sales of chicken nuggets jumped 1,000 percent higher during the BTS Meal launch.
Torres also reported that the popular fast-food chain was able to sell nearly a million of BTS meals since its launch date last June 18, 2021 (Friday). The meal contains 10-piece chicken nuggets, fries, coke and 2 special dips with a brown bag comprising the logo of the Kpop group.
“It was phenomenal. We were so surprised. It was a fantastic launch day on June 18. We really painted the town purple,” Torres said.
The fast-food chain’s official said that they give instructions to the delivery rider on how to handle the brown bag properly. Riders are prohibited to fold the bag and they are tasked to preserve its condition.
“There were very specific instructions to our crew, to our riders, you are not to fold it just to seal. But really preserve it. Some of them like their cup, they wash it, they dry it and they make it like merchandise around the tumbler,” Torres added.
