Juan Miguel Severo no longer part of Gaya Sa Pelikula Season 2
Actor Juan Miguel Severo, who is also the creator and writer of the Boy’s Love (BL) series Gaya Sa Pelikula, was excluded for its Season 2 amid the recent harassment issue.
To recall, the name of Juan Miguel became a trending topic on Twitter on Tuesday after a tweet named him as the “harasser” that actor Paolo Pangilinan was talking about in his tweet.
Paolo is one of the lead characters in the said BL series. Following this controversy, Quark Henares, head of production outfit Globe Studios which is distributing the series, said in his tweet that they are addressing this issue and assured netizens that certain actions will be done.
In a recent Twitter post of Kapamilya entertainment reporter MJ Felipe, he said that Quark Henares confirmed that the second season of Gaya Sa Pelikula will push through but this issue came up. The taping was supposed to commence next week.
“Season 2 was supposed to shoot next week. Now, w’ere not so sure. Really depends on the fans, if we can all move past this,” the producer of the BL series said.
Then, MJ Felipe said in his following tweet that he asked Quark Henares if there will be a new writer for the season of Gaya Sa Pelikula.
“Gege (Juan Miguel Severo) wrote the original scripts, but during the cast and crew meeting yesterday we all decided to change things and discuss re-writing the season as a team,” the producer stated.
Meanwhile, as of this writing, Juan Miguel has not spoken anything yet about the issue. He also deactivated his Twitter account.
