DOLE to Give Incentives to Fully-Vaccinated Workers

DOLE to Provide Bicycles and Mobile Phones to Fully-Vaccinated Workers

The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) announced that they would give incentives to fully-vaccinated workers.

Labor Secretary Silvestre Bello III said that the agency would provide incentives to the employees who completed the two doses of COVID-19 vaccines. The department would start to distribute the incentives on July 1, 2021.

DOLE aims to convince local Filipino employees and Overseas Filipino Workers to get vaccine amid the coronavirus pandemic. The economic frontliners have already received vaccines under the A4 category.

Bello also said that he already asked for an allocation of 2, 000 bicycle and mobile phones for the employees who have been fully-vaccinated.

“Pero, its not for him, hindi para sa kanya kasi ang programa na yan para sa mga informal sector. Ang mangyayari dyan kung ikaw ay worker, nabakunahan ka na, punta ka sa amin, you will tell us kung kanino namin ibibigay sa mga informal workers, let’s say meron kang kamag-anak na nagtitinda sa palengke, yun ang magiging benepisyaryo,” Bello said.

As of this week, the government had administered about 6.948 million COVID-19 vaccine doses and 1.89 have been given as second dose.
