2 Nigerian Nationals Arrested After Accused as Masterminds Behind “Love Scam”
Two Nigerian nationals allegedly masterminded the “Honey Love scam” arrested in the entrapment operation in Calasiao, Pangasinan.
The Airport Police Department initiated an investigation when a victim allegedly requested money from the suspects, according to the newspaper. Aside from the foreign nationals, two other suspects, both Filipinos, were apprehended.

The four defendants were apprehended when authorities worked with a remittance center where they claimed the payments of their honey love scam victims. Promise Iwunamara Y Chikwado and Oliver Ugoing to Y Okolie, both Nigerian nationals, were detained by APD PIID OIC head Lt. Jesus Ducusin.
Ernestila Sumaoang Y Aquino and Shirley Nalo Y Barcala have also been arrested for their roles in the scheme. They’re being held in the APD-PIID pending the filing of the case with the Pasay City Prosecutors Office.
In San Fernando, Pampanga, the Airport Police Department apprehended two suspects for allegedly engaging in a “love scam” scheme. During an entrapment operation, the two suspects were apprehended. The suspects are accused of stealing P10 million from their victims.
The perpetrators allegedly contacted their victim on Facebook, resulting in a relationship. After delivering a baggage containing pieces of jewelry, valuables, and other stuff that is being held at Customs, the suspect is said to have asked for money.
