Here’s why Nadine Lustre cannot entirely drop her social media platforms.
NADINE LUSTRE – Kapamilya actress and singer Nadine Lustre reveals the reason why she cannot totally drop her social media accounts.
Social media has become a part of people’s lives. It carries everything they need to reach out people and to communicate. And for artists like actress and singer Nadine Lustre, it is essential for promotion purposes and to stay present and relevant.
And recently, in a one-on-one interview with King of Talk Boy Abunda, she opened up about her social media habits. Accordingly, she sometimes takes breaks and hiatus because, for her, it can be toxic. She receives hate and criticisms from people online who just wanted to say anything they want.
But considering her job and status as a celebrity, she certainly knows how vital these online platforms are. In order to avoid dealing with it and encountering such toxicity, she just makes sure that what she posts online is important and something that her followers can benefit from.
To her, she can definitely handle the negative comments against her but to spew ill comments against her loved ones and family is a different story anymore. The hate comments before against these important people in her life were actually the reason why she took a hiatus before.
“It got to that point. I just couldn’t handle it then,” she said.
But social media is one thing she could not give up easily because it is a part of her work. This is most especially now amid the pandemic. The most that celebrities like her can do to reach her supporters is staying online.

She is currently gearing up for her first online concert called “Absolute Madness”. Her concert will be pushed through despite court ruling upholding her management contract with Viva Artists Agency. It will be produced by Careless Music and streamed through Kumu Live on July 3.
