Police Arrested 12 “Sabungeros” During Illegal Gambling Operation in Bulacan

Police authorities arrested 12 alleged “sabungeros” during anti-illegal gambling operation conducted in San Jose Del Monte, Bulacan.

Authorities in Bulacan Province arrested 12 persons in an anti-illegal gambling operation. The San Jose Del Monte Police Department raided an illegal cockfighting range in Brgy. Muzon, SJDM in the province.

They apprehended sabungeros Oliver Ian Santonil, Edwin Juanola, Nilo Belicario, Nio Sedano, Sonny Becenio Jr, Dan Vincent Bandol, Gabriel Cobrado, Ignacio III Leoveras, Eugene Montero, Christian James Tigranes, Noel Balingasa, and Fernando Navarro, all of whom were residents of Housing 2000 in the said area.

Two chickens with tari and P2,200 in bet money were recovered from them. They are now in the custody of the aforementioned station, and they are all facing the same charges.

Meanwhile, officials nabbed six males in Malabon City after they were apprehended by police in a separate operation. Substation 5 employees carry out Oplan Galugad along Flovi VI, Letre, Brgy. Tonsuya in stated city.

They were seized with a deceased rooster with a tari on its foot and P3,100 in bet money. They apparently fled at the moment, but were pursued and apprehended by the police.
