US PRESIDENT JOE BIDEN – Together with his wife, the United States President had tea with Queen Elizabeth II at Windsor Castle.

The United States is currently led by President Joe Biden, also a former national official of the country. He was the vice president during the term of former Pres. Barack Obama. For the 2021 election, he ran against the re-election bid of former Pres. Donald Trump.

Biden and Trump had a very close fight for the top post in the country. In fact, the latter was in disbelief at first that he lost to the former U.S. Vice President. There were also some issues ongoing now regarding the opposition to the results of the 2021 election.

Based on a report on GMA News, Queen Elizabeth II greeted US President Joe Biden and his wife, First Lady Jill Biden, in the Quadrangle of the Windsor Castle. She was in her bright pink floral dress.

A Guard of Honour composed of The Queen’s Company First Battalion Grenadier Guards gave the Bidens a Royal Salute upon their arrival. Also, the national anthem of the United States was placed.

Queen Elizabeth and the Bidens talked for a while before they proceeded inside the castle for a private meeting. The said castle served as the home to the Royal Family for around 1,000 years already. Since the COVID-19 pandemic started, the 95-year-old monarch of Britain mostly stayed at the Castle.

The said tea time for the Queen and the Bidens were not their first meeting. Reportedly, the Queen has previously met hosted a reception for the G7 leaders and their spouses in the English County of Cornwall on Friday night. It was also where the G7 Summit took place.
