Ruby Rodriguez talked about her life in the U.S.
Comedienne-host Ruby Rodriguez surprised many Pinoy showbiz fans when she posted a photo showing that she is now a “working girl” in the Philippine consulate in Los Angeles.
However, she had to delete that post as she unintentionally revealed her work location through the geotag feature. Ruby said that part of their job is confidentiality.
Based on the article in The Philippine Star, that was the reason why she had to take down that post. “Nabuking na. Di ko dapat sinabi dun ako nag-work. Nung nag-post ako because I’m not techie, I didn’t realize na naka-tag pala ang location ko,” she said.
They have to follow certain protocols that they should not divulge the details about their job including their positions in the office.
On the other hand, Ruby Rodriguez stressed that she went through the proper procedure in getting the job. She was not appointed, instead, she applied.
“I went through the proper channels. I applied, I submitted my curriculum vitae. I did all the requirements that were asked. I did their tests and all. And then when I passed, it was all sent to the consulate. And it so happened that they have a vacancy for local hire,” the former Eat Bulaga host shared.
Then, she explained why she is now in the States. Ruby said that her husband and her kids are all citizens while she is a regular resident for more than 10 years now. That is the reason why she would sometime take a leave from the Kapuso noontime show to go to the U.S.
“I could stay out of the US for a year or two years depending on the approved travel document. So, I’ve been going back and forth, and all my siblings are here,” she said.
