Fully Vaccinated Individuals Entering PH To Quarantine Only For 7 Days
FULLY VACCINATED INDIVIDUALS – Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque announced that fully vaccinated individuals entering the PH only need seven days of quarantine.
Previously, the Philippines followed the recommendations of health experts regarding the quarantine length. However, as vaccines came into play, more and more people were inoculated against COVID-19.

As such, a debate on whether or not fully vaccinated individuals should still undergo quarantine was held. According to Senate President Vicente Sotto III, placing fully vaccinated individuals under quarantine was “stupid”.
Still, with the presence of new COVID-19 variants, health officials believe that there should be a quarantine period of at least a week. During a press briefing, Roque stated:
“All inbound fully vaccinated individuals shall be required to undergo a 7-day facility-based quarantine upon arrival“
Furthermore, an RT-PCR test would only be done when an individual presents COVID-19 symptoms in the span of the seven day quarantine. Afterward, the Roque said that the Bureau of Quarantine would provide a certificate indicating a completion of the quarantine period.
As per the guidelines, “Fully Vaccinated” individuals are those who received their second dose of COVID-19 vaccines two or more weeks after receiving their first shot. Meanwhile, for single dose vaccines, it would be two weeks after the first inoculation.
