Daredevil Jumps Off Plane 25,000 Feet Without Parachute
DAREDEVIL – Luke Aikins’ and his latest stunt went viral as he jumps off a plane without a parachute.
People have been freefalling (diving without a parachute) for a long time. Usually, this is accompanied by other skydivers that would carry them once they reach a certain height.
However, the only thing separating Aikins from death is a net that he needs to accurately hit. If he missed the landing by just a fraction, things would go horribly wrong for the daredevil.
The footage that emerged on social media shows him leaping out of a plane with the only safety being a net. Furthermore, his stunt wasn’t just recorded, it was broadcast live with audiences around the world holding their baited breathes.
According to an article from Ladbible, this was the highest jump anyone has recorded without a parachute or a wingsuit. To make the stunt even more difficult, there was only 100 feet of net that he had to hit.

I’m almost levitating, it’s incredible. This thing just happened! I can’t even get the words out of my mouth., said Aikins. Initially, authorities asked him to wear a chute even if he wouldn’t use it.
However, he argued that the turn he did before landing on the net was crucial and having a parachute would make that harder. Eventually, he was allowed to jump without it.
