Maja Salvador and DJ Loonya had this “issue” during a recent mediacon
Her Majesty Maja Salvador said this to DJ Loonyo during a recent media conference for their new talent search show on TV5 titled PoPinoy.
Maja and DJ Loonyo are among the “Hunters” in the show hosted by Maine Mendoza and Paolo Ballesteros. Based on the video posted on the YouTube channel of the Philippine Entertainment Portal, one of the questions that were asked to the judges was their readiness when it comes to bashing.
As judges, they will have to comment on the contestants’ performances and it is inevitable that they will receive bashing because of this.
Maja Salvador said that she is ready to hear negative comments about her as a “Hunter”. She stressed that the most important thing is that they are helping someone to achieve his or her dream to be in the entertainment industry.
“Di baleng may masabi silang kung ano ang gusto nilang sabihin, go, pero at least kami, masaya kami na tutupad kami ng mga pangarap nila,” the actress-dancer stressed.
The next “Hunter” who answered the same question was DJ Loonyo. He said that he will not mind the bashing as his profession is dancing, he knows the technicality when it comes to this field and it is just normal for him to comment on what is needed to be said.
“Dedma na lang po kasi ako lang naman po nakakaintindi o nakikita ko as a choreographer. Ang importante, ‘yun nga ang sinabi ni Ate Maja is…,” he said.
After saying this, Maja Salvador and the hosts during the mediacon echoed the word “ate”. “Guys, sa lahat ng nanonood ngayong ng mediacon, paki-bash,” Her Majesty quipped while pointing at DJ Loonyo. The latter explained that he feels awkward calling them by their first name because of his respect towards his co-stars.
