Does Samantha Bernardo plan to join the next Miss Universe Philippines?
Miss Grand International 2020 1st runner-up Samantha Bernardo appeared to be hinting that she is planning to join the Miss Universe Philippines 2021 pageant.
Samantha brought pride to the Philippines after winning second in the international pageant. From the start of the competition, many pageant fans were already noticing her.
During the preliminary competition, she wore emerald green evening gown called “Lipad”, based on the article in gmanetwork.com. This represented the yellow-throated bird of Palawan.
Samantha was also stunning when she showcased her national costume and this mesmerized the pageant viewers. The Pinay beauty queen wore a Philippine eagle-inspired national costume called “Agila”. She was one of the top 10 in best in national costume and top 5 through popular vote.
During the coronation night, she also showcased how a Filipina beauty queen can shine on the stage of the international pageant.
In the swimsuit competition, she was also hailed as one of the Top 5 candidates in this category. Eventually, she got the 1st runner-up title for the Philippines.
After her Miss Grand International stint, Samantha Bernardo appeared to be aiming for the Miss Universe Philippines crown. In her recent post on her Instagram Story, she shared her photo wearing a white outfit.
The post came from a page called All Things Pageant with this caption: “The first runner up of Miss Grand International next heading towards Miss Universe Philippines?” Is this her way of hinting that she will journey to the MUP pageant?
Samantha has not spoken directly yet regarding this anticipation for her next pageant stint.
