Aiko Melendez recently encountered an accident
Prominent actress Aiko Melendez revealed that her car was wrecked while she and her daughter Marthena were inside when a truck hit them.
Entertainment columnist Jun Lalin shared this story in his recent article in Abante. He shared that Ruffa Gutierrez said that she and friends Karla Estrada and Sunshine Cruz planned to meet together.
Lalin asked how Ruffa’s bonding moment with her friends in showbiz was. The latter shared that they were able to meet but her date was Via Veloso since Karla was with her boyfriend Jam Ignacio while Sunshine was her with boyfriend Macky Mathay.
Ruffa shared that it was a good thing that they were able to see each other. Then, she mentioned that Aiko Melendez was supposed to be there with them on that day. Unfortunately, an unexpected thing happened. “Si Aiko nagda-drive, pero binangga sila, kaya hindi na siya nakasunod sa amin,” Ruffa shared.
Talking to Aiko through Messenger, the columnist asked how that actress was after the accident. She said that she and her daughter are fine. The truck bumped her car but fortunately they were not hurt.
“Hayss…di naman kami nasaktan, pero wasak may car. Buti na lang walang masamang nangyari sa amin ni Marthena. God is good! Thank you talaga at ok kami,” the actress said.
She also shared that the accident happened with they were in Mindanao Avenue, Quezon City. Aiko said that her car is insured but it is the first time that she experienced this big damage in her vehicle.
Despite the hassle, Aiko Melendez said that she is very much thankful that nothing bad happened to her and her daughter.
