The indie folk-pop band Ben&Ben is taking over the Philippines’ music industry by a storm because of their touching songs. They are the geniuses behind the hit songs “Maybe The Night” and “Kathang Isip.”
Brothers Miguel and Paolo Guico continue to write beautiful lyrics and come up with the perfect tune for them. The songs of the 9-piece band always leave their listeners nostalgic yet hopeful.
On Sunday, May 23, Ben & Ben shared the official music video of their latest song “Magpahinga” on their Youtube Channel. Paolo Guico took to Twitter to share how they come up with the emotional song. He said it was written when his sister was struck with coronavirus (COVID-19). He reminds his followers that “it’s okay to rest.”
“the new song we’re releasing, “magpahinga”, was written when our sister got COVID-19 more than a month ago. it was one of the toughest times for our family. in the middle of these dark days, in the middle of these battles we silently fight, may we remember that it’s okay to rest,” he wrote.

To accompany Ben & Ben’s emotional song, director Jorel Lising worked on a short film starring veteran actor Joel Torre and Kapamilya actress Bela Padilla. The band’s latest music video will surely touch everyone’s heart.
