After Michael Cinco, Designer Rian Fernandez Shared Horrible Experience w/ Miss Universe Canada Organization
RIAN FERNANDEZ – In support for Michael Cinco, designer Rian Fernandez also shared his horrible experience with the Miss Universe Canada organization.
Recently, Dubai-based Filipino designer Michael Cinco published a lengthy Facebook post after he was accused of “sabotaging” Miss Universe Canada Nova Steven’s gown during the Miss Universe 2020 pageant. In the post, he stood up against the claims of Steven’s publicist MGmode.
Steven’s handler said the gowns of the Pinoy designer arrived late and it did not fit her well. Her team also said that the incident also happened to the candidates they handed during the Miss Universe 2019.
Michael Cinco took to his personal Facebook account to share the alleged scam that he experienced from the whole team of Miss Canada including Miguel Martinez, Denis Martin Davila, Natalie Glebova, Nova Stevens, and the Miss Canada Organization.
In his post, the renowned designer spoke up about the controversy as his team’s credibility has been tarnished because of the publicist’s claims. He said his gowns arrived on time and it fit Stevens “perfectly.”

Another Filipino designer Rian Fernandez speaks out against Miss Universe Canada Organization. On Sunday, May 23, he shared in his Facebook account his harrowing experience with the organization starting from the time of Sierra Bearchell in 2016.
He shared that his worst experience was with Marta Magdalena Stepien in 2018 where in he made 5 custom made gowns for her but not worn for prelims and finals. Marta wore Michael Cinco’s gown instead.

In a previous article, Nova Stevens broke her silence over Michael’s Cinco’s rant. She said the issue hurt her because she has nothing but love for her team and the Filipino designer.
She said, “They both helped me in ways that I can’t even count. So every day I do count my blessings because of these two people, or I guess three cause MGmode are two people and Michael Cinco.”
