Miss Universe Philippines 2020 Rabiya Mateo got the full support of her boyfriend Neil Salvacion as she is vying for the 5th Miss Universe for the country.
In spite of the delay that happened to the most prestigious beauty pageant in the world due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the excitement of the pageant world even hyped up.
For the 69th edition of Miss Universe, Rabiya is aiming to bring home the crown after Gloria Diaz, Margie Moran, Pia Wurtzbach, and Catriona Gray. Pinoy pageant fans are definitely rallying behind the beauty queen from Iloilo City.
Her boyfriend is also very supportive of her pageant journey. During the preliminary competition, Neil showed how proud he is of his girlfriend, based on the article in PEP.
Neil shared clips of Rabiya Mateo’s performance during the preliminary swimsuit competition. “YOOOOOOWWW!!!!! [three hearts, six fires emojis]” he wrote.
In another post, his caption summarized what he felt upon seeing his girlfriend owning the Miss Universe stage. “REVIEW: PAUSED. JAW: DROPPED. HEART: POUNDING. EYES: [CRYING EMOJI]” Neil wrote.

In his recent Instagram post, the boyfriend of Rabiya shared a black and white photo of their hands intertwining. He wrote a Bible verse: “Proverbs 16:3 Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and your plans will succeed.”
On May 17, to show support for Rabiya Mateo, a resort in Iloilo featured sand art featuring the face of the Ilongga beauty queen. The online community has been showing support for her these past few days. The hashtag “Ariba Rabiya” has become a cheer of Pinoy pageant fans for the Philippines’ delegate.
