Janine Gutierrez as a beauty queen?
Dito At Doon actress Janine Gutierrez reacted to the comments saying that she should’ve joined pageants because she can be a beauty queen.
Coming from a popular showbiz clan, it is quite normal to have expectations that Janine would eventually make her own name in the entertainment industry which she is already doing right now.
However, aside from being an actress, anticipation also surfaced that she could make it great in the world of pageants. To recall, Janine shared in a previous interview that her aunt, Ruffa Gutierrez who was hailed Miss World 1993 second runner-up, encouraged her to join a pageant.
Ruffa even offered to train her niece to become a beauty queen. However, Janine refused and said that joining the pageantry does not awake interest in her.
During a recent thanksgiving virtual media conference for her movie with JC Santos, Janine Gutierrez was once again asked about joining pageants since it is now the Miss Universe season, based on the article in Bandera.
It is inevitable for fans to gush over the possibility that she will join a pageant because aside from the obvious reason that she is beautiful, she is also smart and witty when it comes to sharing her thoughts. However, the actress stressed that she never thought of joining a pageant despite the fact that she loves to watch.
“Never ko kasi pinangarap maging beauty queen, eh. I love watching pageants and watching Miss Universe, Binibining Pilipinas, lahat. Pero for me to join hindi ko kasi siya naging pangarap, eh. So it’s not something that I ever thought of pursuing talaga,” she said.
On the other hand, Janine Gutierrez thanked everyone who thinks that she will do well as a beauty queen.
