MISS UNIVERSE 2020 WINNER – The newly-crowned Miss Universe 2020 is Miss Mexico Andrea Meza and these are the runners-up.
The grand coronation night of the 69th Miss Universe was held at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Florida, United States. Over 70 delegates from various parts of the world have gathered together and vied for the title and crown but only one was named. The one that Miss Universe 2019 Zozibini Tunzi from South Africa passed the crown to is Miss Mexico Andrea Meza.

1st runner-up: Miss Brazil – Julia Gama
2nd runner-up: Miss Peru – Janick Maceta del Castillo
3rd runner-up: Miss India – Adline Castelino
4th runner-up: Miss Dominican Republic – Kimberly Jimenez
For this year, the panel of all-female judges includes Arden Cho, Brook Lee, Christine Duffy, Deepica Mutyala, Keltie Knight, Sheryl Adkins Green, Tatyana Orozco, and Zuleyka Rivera.
Andrea is a software engineer who proudly finished a degree in this field where the males are dominant. She is an activist, advocates for women’s rights, and works with the organization called Municipal Institute for Women aiming to end gender violence.
She is the third beauty queen from Mexico to be crowned as Miss Universe and her history in beauty pageants included being crowned Mexicana Universal 2020 and Miss Mexico 2017. She also joined Miss World 2017 where she was hailed as the first runner-up.
Ever since the competition started, she was already eyed to win the competition by many pageanthologists because of her intelligence and being active in speaking about her advocacy.
