Spokesman of Vice Pres. Robredo Speaks Her Side on Elections 2022

ROBREDO – The camp of Vice President Leni Robredo said she is open to all possibilities in the 2022 Elections including the bid for President.

There are already speculations on who might run in the Elections 2022 for a certain post in local and national government levels. Also, there are surveys lodged to check on possible presidential candidates in the next political race.

One of the names in survey results is Vice Pres. Leni Robredo. She is from the opposition’s Liberal Party and she’s from Naga, Camarines Sur. However, recently, speculations that she will be seeking a lower post in the election crossed the surface after former Senator Antonio Trillanes IV made a claim that she is preparing to run for governor of Camarines Sur.

Based on a report on ABS-CBN News, former Sen. Trillanes expressed that he is planning to replace the Vice President as the presidential bet of 1SAMBAYAN in the upcoming election as she’s preparing to run for Governor of CamSur.

The camp of the Vice President broke its silence. According to the report, the her spokesman, Atty. Barry Gutierrez, expressed that “there is absolutely no truth to the claim” that the vice president is already preparing to run for governor of CamSur in the Elections 2022.

Gutierrez stressed that Vice Pres. Robredo has yet to make a decision regarding the Elections 2022. Meanwhile, her camp said that she remains open to all the possibilities including the bid for president.

The Vice President’s spokesman assured that she will personally speak of her decision regarding the next political bid “at the appropriate time”. Currently, she is focusing on helping the Filipinos amid the COVID-19 pandemic now.

The Philippines recently recorded another spike in the COVID-19 cases. The vaccination program is currently ongoing and PH targets to reach the herd immunity this year.
