India Records All-Time High 4,000 Deaths In A Day Due To Coronavirus

INDIA ALL-TIME HIGH DEATHS – Following the massive surge of COVID-19 cases in India, the country records an all-time high death count of over 4,000 due to the virus.

Last week, India recorded over 3,000 deaths due to COVID-19, the highest the country has ever recorded. However, despite please to the government to supply oxygen to hospitals, there was still an overwhelming lack of it.

This led to more deaths and skyrocketing the toll to over 4,000 deaths due to COVID-19. On Saturday, India’s government reported 4,187 new deaths. This brings the total to 238,270. Furthermore, India reported another 401,078 cases in a day. As such, the total case load in the country is now nearing 30 million.

Meanwhile, major cities such as New Delhi and India are slowly stabilizing as it was prioritized with oxygen and extra medical supplies. However, as hospital beds open up in India’s capital, the virus is still spreading like wildfire in its southern states and rural areas.

Coronavirus cases and deaths also have rocketed in West Bengal, which has been marked by massive meetings organized by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his rival, Chief of State Mamata Banerjee since his election.
