Pedicab Driver Provides Free Face Masks, Shields to Passengers Who Forgot Theirs
The kind pedicab driver who provides free face masks, face shields, and alcohol to passengers who don’t have one has been praised by the online community.
Since the entire Philippines was placed under quarantined due to the pandemic, many livelihoods have been affected. These include drivers of various public transportation.
Due to the limited number of people outside, the number of passengers was also limited. Despite their shrinking earnings, many drivers continue to take on life’s challenges. There are always people who can support those who are in need.
A pedicab driver from San Mateo, Rizal, proved this. Despite his modest earnings, he was able to provide his passengers with free face masks, face shields, and alcohol.
Camille Joselle, a Facebook user, expressed gratitude for the pedicab driver’s hospitality. Camille photographed the note inside while riding in the pedicab and shares the good deed of a pedicab driver.
It is written that all passengers and the driver who joins the work but does not have any of the security he offers are provided with a free face mask, face shield, and alcohol. Camille was moved by the driver’s goodness as a result.
Even if the driver is having problems, he does not neglect to support others, according to him. And now that Camille’s post has gone viral, several people are contacting her and the pedicab driver to offer assistance.
Manong Rogelio Cañares, 56, of Barangay Ampid, San Mateo, Rizal, was the driver, according to Camille. For the past month, Manong Rogelio, who has been driving a pedicab for more than 13 years, has been giving away free face masks, face shields, and alcohol to his passengers.
