To help the ride-to-work culture, Bikers United Movement and CycleBros opened a community bike shop in Quezon City. At the neighborhood bike store, helmets, protective vests, blinkers, headlights, pedals, and other parts and safety gear for cycling bikes are distributed.

Additionally, some organisations have a bike check service. They also urged other cyclists to give the vulnerable cyclists the opportunity to receive free bike parts and safety equipment.

“Iniiwasan din namin ‘yung pupunta doon just to upgrade. The idea supposedly of a community bike shop is that we service the community that is around us and passing by,” said Ann Angala, spokesperson and co-founder of the Bikers United Movement.

Community bike shops open twice a week in different locations. It’s normally constructed near bike lanes. Those who want to donate will do so by sending a message to the Bikers United Movement’s Facebook messenger.
