Ambagan PH Launches Street Food Community Pantry in Marikina City Offering Free Street Foods for Hungry Residents
The street food community pantry in Marikina City earned praises and admiration from the online community.
A Facebook user named Sagun John Rufinel has shared the photos of a street food community pantry offering free street food to the residents of Marikina City. The post goes viral online.
Rufinel said that they have decided to give free street foods to the residents including street sweepers, motorists, trike drivers, cyclists, constructions workers, delivery employees, vendors and other people who need food.
The pantry has a placard with words written “Tumuhog batay sa pangangailangan, mag-ambay ayon sa kakauyahan”. The residents were very happy after receiving free foods to relieve their hunger.
The pantry is a part Ambagan PH, a group of community pantries nationwide giving free snacks to the needy. Group secretary Jonathan Caiña that they have used the donations and worked with a street food vendor to hold the program.

“TUMUHOG BATAY SA PANGANGAILANGAN, MAG-AMBAG BATAY SA KAKAYANAN!
Matapos maubos ang laman ng community pantry namin sa Brgy. Concepcion Uno sa Marikina kaninang umaga, naisip namin na mamahagi naman ng libreng tusok-tusok para makakain din ang mga street sweepers, motorista, tricycle drivers, nagbibisikleta, construction workers, nagdedeliver, mga nagtitinda sa kariton, nangangalakal, at mga naglalakad sa kalsada na inabutan na ng gutom sa daan dahil hindi agad makauwi at makapagluto ng pananghalian. Tuwang-tuwa ang mga residente! Sabi ng isang nanay, may pang-ulam na raw ang anak niya paggising. Naibsan na ang gutom ng mga tao sa kalye, nakatulong pa sa kabuhayan ni Kuya Gil na nagtitinda ng tusok-tusok! ”
