ANGEL LOCSIN – Kapamilya actress and philanthropist Angel Locsin was moved to tears after hearing the message from these people that she has helped.
A philanthropist and most loved for her love in helping the people in need and for always being present in times of tragedy is Angel Locsin. She once played the iconic role “Darna” and since then she was dubbed as the country’s “Darna” because of all of her charities and other activities to help the needy. Behind the camera are her acts that have inspired a lot of people. She supported cancer patients and even had scholars as well.
And now, as she turned a year older, her “Iba ‘Yan” team surprised her and threw a birthday celebration for her. With her close friend and former co-star Angelica Panganiban, she was shown with a compilation of videos from her beneficiaries where they expressed heartfelt gratitude towards her.
A young cancer patient named Maynard Darang said, “Sana marami pa kayong matulungan na mga tao na katulad naming nangangailangan. Salamat sa pagtulong sa amin,” while the other one who also had cancer, told her, “Isa po talaga kayong anghel.”
Right after watching the surprise that’s prepared for her, she was left in tears. She also said that she was embarrassed to her scholars in Bukidnon because since her network lost its franchise to operate, she was not able to provide for all of them. Speaking about this situation, she said, “Iilan na lang sila ngayon. Kaya medyo hindi ako makapagpakita sa kanila, kasi nahihiya ako, kasi ‘yung commitment ko, hindi ko na maibigay sa kanila.”
